Children Classes

Every Sunday at Sri Krishna Mandir our devotees conduct Krishna Conscious children’s classes.

During these classes, the children learn about the culture and philosophy of Krishna Consciousness in a caring and spiritual atmosphere whilst engaging in-class activities that include stories, quizzes, games, drama, arts, and craft.

Your child will also be introduced to Sanskrit pronunciation, reading, and chanting of various scriptures and bhajans. Older students will begin preliminary studies of slokas from the Bhagavad-Gita and will progress to other scriptures through regular attendance. Music classes will also be on offer for regular students where they will learn Kartal, Mrdanga, and Harmonium.

This humble program aims to teach and guide children in a practical and fun way how to apply Krishna consciousness to their daily lives.

Every child, if given an impression of the Lord from his very childhood, certainly becomes a great devotee of the Lord like Maharaja Pariksit. Maharaja Pariksit also advised that such impressions of a Godly relation must be impregnated from the very beginning of childhood, otherwise one may miss the opportunity of the human form of life.
